This is an artists’ guide to their rights under copyright law – whether they have been commissioned to do some work, if the works are transformed into different media, resale rights, ‘substantial copying’, marketing and promo literature, multiple copyrights, dealing with groups such as DACS and putting your work into art libraries and visual search engines. Copyright law is a grey area for many artists and yet it is vitally important that they understand what their rights are and how to make money from these rights. In this book, the author dispels a lot of the myths that have grown up about the subject and explains the do’s and don’ts and the pros and cons of how to make the most of artists’ copyright entitlements. This is a useful guide for anyone working in the field of the arts.

Beware! UK COpyright law, NOT US I bought this book based on the basic information given on the page. Unfortunately, NO WHERE is it mentioned that this book covers ONLY copyright law in the UK!!! Considering this is Amazon.com and NOT Amazon.uk I find this, not only disappointing but misleading. I never expected this site to sell a book that was WORTHLESS in the US without putting some kind of warning/notice on the page. I feel I was misled by both Amazon and the seller and I feel that I was ripped off for the price of this…
